Parking

Where can my guests park?

Guests should use the marked visitor spaces, which residents may not use. If visitor spaces are full and your own spaces are taken, guests may use overflow parking temporarily, for up to one week. Parking rules »

Can I park on Mountain Gate Road, Meeting House Path or Leland Farm Road?

These are public town roads, so Town of Ashland rules apply. From November 1 to March 31, there's no parking from 1 AM to 6 AM, and no parking at any time during a snowstorm.

Can I keep a boat, trailer, camper or work truck at Ledgemere?

Only private passenger vehicles may be parked on the common areas. Boats, trailers, campers, motor homes, commercial vehicles and vehicles with commercial signage or ladder racks aren't allowed outside a garage.

Who plows the sidewalks?

The Town of Ashland owns the sidewalks and is responsible for plowing them, not the association. The Town may or may not get to them after a storm. If a sidewalk hasn't been cleared, call the Ashland DPW at 508-881-0120.

Will my car be towed?

Cars that break the parking rules, especially ones blocking other vehicles or fire lanes, or that are unregistered or abandoned, may be towed at the owner's expense. Fill out the census form on the portal so management can try to reach you first.

When can I put my trash out?

Bins may be brought to the town road after 6 PM the night before collection and must be out by 7 AM. Bring them back by 7 PM the day after collection. Bins may not be stored outside. Trash rules »

How do I get rid of a mattress or furniture?

Never leave it in the woods or by the road. The Ashland DPW holds a free mattress drop-off on the first Saturday of each month for enrolled residents, and other bulk items can be scheduled for pickup through the Town. Bulk items »

Your home

Can I replace my windows or doors?

Yes, with Board approval first. Windows and doors must match the existing size and style and meet the color and material specs (Aztec Bronze exterior, non-wood windows, full-glass entry doors). A $35 fee applies per window or door. Forms and specs »

Can I install central air, a heat pump or an EV charger?

Yes, with Board approval and a licensed installer. Submit the HVAC or EV Charging Station request form on the portal. An EV charger inside your own garage doesn't need approval, but any charger on the common elements does. It needs an interior shut-off, and you must call Dig Safe (811) before any trenching.

Interior renovations, such as kitchens, flooring and bathrooms, don't need Board approval, but structural changes do.

Can I put up a security camera or a satellite dish?

Yes, within limits. Cameras need approval, and their view must stay within your own limited common area. Satellite dishes up to 1 meter may go on your own deck or patio, never on roofs or common lawns.

Can I plant a garden?

You may plant flowers without approval in the lawn directly adjacent to your unit, up to 25 feet straight out (perpendicular) from your unit's own exterior walls. That's not 25 feet in any direction, and it doesn't include the lawn in front of a neighbor's unit. For shrubs, check with management before planting. Raised beds, paths, walls, lighting and other landscaping projects need Board approval. Landscaping »

Can I use a grill, fire pit or tiki torch?

Charcoal grills are not allowed anywhere at Ledgemere ($50 fine). Fire pits of any fuel type (wood, gas or propane), tiki torches, and anything else with an open flame are also not allowed. Lawn furniture and grills shouldn't be left on the common lawns for long periods.

I have a fireplace. What do I need to do?

Keep your chimney clean, and have it inspected at least every 2 years. The association's insurance requires it. Submit the inspection report to management through the Resident Portal.

What are quiet hours?

11 PM to 8 AM, every day. Music, TVs and instruments must not be audible in neighboring units during those hours.

Are pets allowed?
